Done at the beginning of September
At the beginning of the year, I teach the students the difference between words that are "masculin" and "féminin".
We work on this for several weeks. Students use their knowledge to write complete sentences while using the correct article in front of a word. (un, une, le, la)
___________garçon _____bonbon ______chemise
___________fille _____bateau ______table
They learn that all words that represent girls are féminin and most words ending with an e are féminin.
They learn that all words that represent boys are masculin and most words not ending with an e are masculin.
Students made these interactive accordions in their French Journals to remind them what article to use.
